Fruits

Do the fruits of scientific technology

reach all the rungs of social ladder.

No. In such a case, the aims and objectives of scientific technology are not justified. A large section of the human world may not manage to reap the benefits of scientific technology though they are left open to everyone. The cause for this inability may be many. Some of the chief causes are ignorance among the large part of the population, about the resources available and their right to them. Also, they have little knowledge about the laws of the land that control the social activities. They do not give much importance to the developments taking place in and around their place. Illiteracy deprives them of the spirit and enthusiasm to match their steps with the advancing world.

Is it the government machinery that ought to address the problem. ?

Yes, in the case of the people who are not capable enough to reap the benefits offered by technology, the government should play an active role to see that the fruits reach all the rungs proportionately.

How long can the government await the people saying, " Yes, we are looking into the problem  ?

The question is that in the age of scientific technology and globalization, how long should it take for the governments to address the miserable condition of many across the globe.

In fact, in most countries struggling with poverty, it is not the factor of time that impedes the balanced growth.  It is the lack of will and whole-hearted involvement, that hinders the growth factor.
