It is quite ridiculous to find people throwing the garbage in the surroundings and inviting mosquitoes in large numbers.
Wouldn't it look pretty good if the municipal authorities extended their operations to every nook and corner of the colonies and streets. The real operations hardly reaches most of the places. Even if, we come across some places where the authorities play an important role, it gets confined to the places of importance. In many cases, it is not work but a show to fool the higher authorities.
In most countries, people throw the garbage in their surroundings and invite contagion. Even the authorities concerned show little interest in the timely disposal. This leads to unhygienic conditions. It also hinders the smooth flow of the traffic . With the trash heap protruding into the middle of the road,, it also poses danger to the running vehicles.
Where does the solution to this problem lie ?
The problem lies not only in the lack of awareness among most of the people but also in the lack of awareness and commitment among the officials and the authorities who do not know the ways of addressing this problem.
As such, there is an urgent need to train the authorities by implementing the training classes seriously. Instead of giving them passive instructions, repeated motivation must be given so that they involve whole-heartedly.
